Maurizio d’Amico studied at University di Ingegneria Navale di Genova and graduated in 1984 as Naval Architect and Mechanical Engineer, up to 1986 after some experience in London at a leading P&I club, and at Richard Butler law firm, in 1986 joined the studio Navale Martinoli in Genova where he was actively involved in various aspects of consultancy, insurance claims, design coordination for a major passenger ship conversation. In 1992 joined the d’Amico Societa di Navigazione, from 1992 to 2000 served at various level as coordinator of the development of the technical department, from 2003 to 2006 has been responsible for the project of a 40.000 Dwt, tanker built in China. In the present position as the responsible for business and technology development he do actively participate on various International bodies like ICS, Confitarma , RINA cooperating also with the DINAV the department of Naval Architecture of the Genoa University, in order to follow the evolution of the present regulations . He is member of The Royal Institution of Naval Architects, and presently is serving as a Council Member. He is married and has two children aged 15 and 14.
